I realized March has flown by without me adding any pictures to the blog, so here's my attempt to catch up......
We visited the Shreveport Science Museum.....and experienced three and a half hours of hands on fun!
Logan is digging in the sand, changing the flow of the "river."
They shot cannons at boats on a big screen TV.
We learned about planets.
We got to see a train go by SUPER close to the building. Logan thought that was way way cool!
We learned about ropes and pulleys......or maybe just that dad is super strong, and that going to the top of the tower is fun in dad's lap.
Logan made a plaster bear paw.
We played in the water....err, I mean learned about dams and river flow.....William REALLY got into this one! We played here the longest. There are lots more pictures to post on this, but I'm trying to keep it short.
Playing King David and praising Jesus with their crowns made at Sunday school.
Just a cute picture!
We went to Tennessee for a visit since William had to spend LONG hours studying for an upcoming test at work....that he passed I might add (got the results today!)!!! Wooo hoo! GO WILLIAM!
A local ice cream place close to my sister's house was offering free cones if you showed up in your PJs.....so we ALL went in our PJs and ate free ice cream!
Watering Grandma's lettuce garden on the back porch.
Digging in the garden at Grandma and Grandpa's house.
Ohhhhh the boat ride.
See how Connor is leaning to touch the water? Not long after this picture was taken, I paddled, looked at Jackson (the dog was also in the boat with us), looked back at my kids, and CONNOR WASN'T IN THE BOAT! Yes, he was wearing a life jacket, but that didn't stop my heart from nearly pounding out of my chest! I told him to reach for my paddle, but he was crying and probably in shock from the cold water, and didn't comprehend what I was asking him to do. He started to float off to the right as the boat with Logan, Jackson, and myself drifted to the left......so I acted on impulse and jumped in to save him! (It's a dang miracle I didn't tip Logan and Jackson out in the process!) I swam him back to the boat and tossed him in with one arm - amazing what you can do when your adrenaline is pumping like crazy! I stayed in the COLD water (didn't want to tip them all out with an attempt to pull myself in) and swam the boat to shore. Needless to say, Connor didn't try to put his hand in the water the next time we went out on the boat, but Logan asked the next morning if we could go swimming.....it snowed that day....I said no.
Feeding the birds!
Story time!
Awe, a boy and his dog.
Bass Pro Shop had a fishing tank set up for kids. Logan put his line in and within five seconds caught a fish!
Connor tried, put his line in, and again, within five seconds, caught a fish! I don't think my kids even realized there were other kids standing around the tank jealous, wondering why they couldn't catch a fish!
We also did a coloring page at Bass Pro.
We had a bon fire and roasted marshmallows with cousins!
He liked putting rocks in Grandpa's flower pot.
Killin' time waiting to eat at the Pottery House in Pidgin Forge.
I thought it was cute his ice cream matched his shirt!
Logan REALLY wanted to take a helicopter ride, but they were closed when we got there.....maybe next time!
Tami lets her kids color hard boiled eggs with markers even though it's not Easter.....not sure why I never thought of that.....we'll definitely do that in the future - Connor liked it!
Hanging out with cousins in Aunt Tami's "cool van." Logan thinks we should get one.
Playing with trains at Barnes and Nobles.
We packed a lunch and ate in the cafe area surrounded by folks on computers and reading books - I was impressed how well the boys did.....they used their manners and didn't disrupt anyone!!
I think Logan had a growth spurt the night before this picture was taken....he just looks grown up!
Connor.....running.
Frozen yogurt on Grandma's counter - YUMMY fun.
BIRTHDAY!!!!
March 21 William turned 41 and Logan turned 4!
I made a monster truck cake, per Logan's request (with the infamous white icing). The cupcakes had monster truck party favors on them!
Stealing a birthday kiss from the birthday boy.
He's cleaning the icing off the tires!
The birthday boys. Love 'em to pieces! I'm so glad they were both born!
Logan's favorite gift.......a crashing hot wheels track.
Tami, you just make me laugh.....you're so much fun!
......and so are your kids!
Jackson loved my Grandaddy.
Awe, sweetness.
.....and that's March.....I'll try to stay on top of things in April!
