HAPPY EASTER!!!
We made sun catchers this week.
Final product....crosses for Easter.
The boys were pretending to be cats.....made me laugh.
We colored eggs......side note, DON'T use washable markers on eggs.....it goes right through the shell and gets all over your fingers when pealing them!!!
Hugs in the kitchen.
Reading Bible stories before bed.
He likes that this new T-shirt matches his undies! ....tried to talk me into not wearing shorts one day! HA HA!
We played with shaving cream this week.....not sure how that's Easter related, but it was still fun.
We registered Logan for summer soccer, starting in June.....but we were so excited, we went ahead and picked out a new ball, cleats, shin guards, and socks! He's pretty pumped about it.
Connor is too young to play on a team, but I just couldn't leave him out when we were buying shoes and shin guards.....I thought if he played against his brother in the back yard, he'd need the protection.....and just wanna be cool like Logan!
Getting ready to leave for the big Easter egg hunt at church Saturday morning.
The hunt......or should I say "race to gather"
Connor wanted to inspect the contents of each egg before going on to pick up the next one.
Logan preparing for the mad dash...it's the first year we couldn't go out on the field with him.....our little boy is growing up!
.....can you find Logan in there.....center, bent over with the yellow bucket!
Inspecting their loot!
The church also had several bouncy houses.
Inspecting their "resurrection eggs" which contained small items (crown, cross, nail, stone, and bible verses) representing Jesus' death and resurrection. I thought these were a great way to talk to kids about the true meaning of Easter.
The Easter egg hunt in the back yard......funny story....William went out to hide the eggs, then let the boys know it was time to find them. It took LOTS of coaxing to track down all the eggs. Once they finally found them all, William asked if they wanted to do it again.....Logan said, "no daddy, I didn't like that way", and Connor chimed in, "no like it daddy" Logan then says, "you're supposed to do it like this daddy" as he tosses all the eggs from the bucket into the air and yells, "GO!!" Him and Connor frantically dash around picking up the eggs......I guess hunts have turned into frenzies these days!
Just a cute one of him in his "bow tie" as he called it.
