Last weekend at the Heinsberg lake.....we went early in the morning to get out of the house....and Logan wanted to be the first ones to ride the paddle boats since we weren't able to do it the day before.

The paddle boats weren't open yet, so we threw lots of rocks while waiting!

A cement lounge chair at a cafe along the walking trail of the lake.

Ahhhhh!  Finally, a paddle boat ride!
Logan loved it.....and so did Connor after he got the life jacket off!

We attended the "Bath Tub Boat Races" on the river......homemade boats that moved more like a parade than a race, but it was fun to see the creative creations.....and they splashed water at you, so that was fun too!

More examples of their ingenuity!

Yes, I know we are getting ready to PCS and I need to be getting rid of things rather than purchasing.....but these blocks were such a good deal!  And the boys are having lots of fun with them!

Their fort.....Connor likes to knock it down.

My friend, Gretchen, and I went to Amsterdam Friday.....that's me in the "d"!  So glad to check that off my "want to see list" before leaving Europe!  William took the day off work to keep the kids - what a blessing!

It was a BEAUTIFUL day!
The canals and waterways were just gorgeous!  When we first arrived we took an hour boat cruise to see the sights.

House boats.....because they ran out of useable land space!

The roof lines reminded me a lot of Brugge.

A bike parking garage......WHAT???  Never thought I'd see that!

Steeples......another favorite thing I love to photograph.

This reminded me of Paris.....corner houses/businesses are SWEET!

We did LOTS of walking all over the streets of Amsterdam.

Typical street view in Amsterdam.

We went to the floating flower market.....ahhhh tulips!

.....and lilies.

Had to get my picture in a pair of wooden shoes!

CHEESE, glorious CHEESE!
.....yes, we ate our fair share of cheese samples!

LOVE the red shutters!

Looking up at the church entrance.

Did I mention I LOVE all the waterways and bridges?!!!

We visited the VanVough museum.

Just a few of my favorites!

Thanks for a GREAT day Gretchen!

....and a graffiti wall just for fun!
