Here we are in the airport getting ready to take the trip of a life time! We took a 7 night/8 day vacation to Italy last week. I'll warn you, I took over 650 pictures, so I've done my best to pick just a few of my favorites!Posing in front of a gondola....at $150 eruo a pop, we decided not to take a ride.Ahhh Venice......does this look like a post card or what?!The biggest pizza I've ever seen!Elaborate Carnival costumes. Here is the enterance of St. Mark's Basilica.....And here's the ceiling in the Basilica.....William kinda took this illegally.....all gold and very pretty.I think Logan could have stayed in St. Mark's Square and played with the pigeons all day! When we ran out of bread to feed them he just chased them and clapped.A view in St. Mark's Square...The La Salute Church.Typical Venice views......all the boats.....Beautiful water ways.....Colorful buildings....I think we had gellato every day......a super smooth super yummy ice cream! An appetizer William ordered one evening.A view from the boat in Venice's lagoon. This is beautiful Murano, an island in Venice's lagoon. They are known for their glass making....I purchased a necklace here.Along one of Venice's canals.A night stroll in Venice.....Logan was having a good time! The leaning tower of Pisa. This was just down the street from where we purchased some of the most amazing foccia bread I've ever had. This is a view of Monterosso (one of the five towns that make up Cinque Terre) as we begin our long trek towards Vernazza.Logan's brief attempt at the trail hike......in places we were literlly inches from the edge of the cliff, so William carried him just about the entire way. That rail along the left side of the picture is what the local vinyard care takers use to tend to their vines instead of hiking the steep inclines like we were doing.Logan was such a trooper in the heat!Isn't this just GEORGOUS??!! We had views like this all along our hike.Another family photo pit stop durring the hike......it was a good hour and 50 minute hike, so we took advantage of all the photo oportunities!Ahhhhh Cinque Terre.....it was on my "must see" list and it was beautiful! This is a picture of Vernazza as we came hiking down the mountain from Monterosso (those were my two favorite towns out of the five). We shopped along the water at a local market near Livorono and then spent some time at the beach.Hangin' out at the beach. The rocks were so smooth and so white, and the water was SOOO clear!Swimming in the Mediterranean Sea....I guess technically it was the Ligurian Sea, but close enough!Hiking along the Tuscany cliffs at sun set......My handsome boys at sunset! We truely were blessed with the vacation of a life time! As a side note, while on vacation, Logan had his first oreo's......they were a big hit!
