New Years Day - We took a walk at the Red River Park.

It was a beautiful day and so nice to be out and about as a family.  A lady at the park told us the long hike around the lake was about 2 miles.....and we thought, "ahhh why not?"

Before long Connor decided he'd rather be carried than walk.....thank God we decided to bring the cozy carrier along at the last minute.

Logan checked out the ant bed and stepped in it to get them all fired up.

He explored the tall weeds.....while I was trying not to panic over any critters or snakes we might run into.

We walked, and walked, and walked....

And walked some more......even picked up some walking sticks along the way.....but Connor missed that part - he was out like a light!

Eventually Logan decided he'd rather ride than walk too, so for the last mile (the lady was TOTALLY wrong by the way, it was at LEAST a three mile hike, if not close to four!) William was Super Dad and carried Logan on his shoulders.  Needless to say, we all slept great that night!

Watch this big bite mom!

We went to Dallas, Texas this past weekend to visit Jake, Tiffany, and kids.  Logan and Connor both loved Aubrie's hot rod.

Jake took us to his family's farm where they had cool tire swings.

And we shot guns......well, yeah, why not, we're in Texas!

William showed Logan how to shoot.

...and me too....

Notice the middle pin is missing?
I nailed it on my first shot!  I knew all those games of Nintendo Duck Hunter would pay off!!  hee hee!

Jackson may have a nose for hunting, but he's down right terrified of loud noises.  Tiffany had to chase him down from across the field and carry him back to us!

So Connor and I hung out with Jackson, while everyone else got some more shooting in. (see them off in the distance behind us?)

Not sure what he's explaining, but it looks intense.

We had a bon fire and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows.

Yep, those are done!
