We went to Brussels Belgium today to see the Flower Carpet.  Once every two years they decorate the centrum with flowers that make it look like a huge carpet.

Pretty cool.

I climbed on scaffolding to get these elevated pictures instead of waiting in a MAJORLY long line to pay and get on a balcony of one of these buildings.

Up close.

This is the building where everyone was waiting to get on the balcony.....I bet it was beautiful inside.

After seeing the flower carpet we walked around town a bit.  This was inside a shopping mall type area.

We stopped and ate at the Drug Opera - a delicious restaurant with three decadently decorated levels inside (as we saw when going to the bathroom since we sat at an outdoor table to enjoy the people watching!).

The front.

The architecture in Brussels is amazing.

And since Belgium is known for waffles and chocolate, I got a chocolate covered waffle!

We even found a little park on our walk about town.

Logan's room!  I got him some super cool wall decals of diggers, dump trucks, bull dozers, cement trucks, caution cones, and construction signes.  He had SO much fun helping me put them up.  He had a hard time falling asleep the first night because of all his excitement at seeing his ceiling and closets in the light of his nightlight.

He knows each piece of equipment (and some parts like, hydraulics, booms, buckets, etc), and is learning the signs.  He LOVES construction equipment, tractors, police cars, fire trucks, and ambulances....Mighty Machines is his favorite TV show, and every night we read at least one book related to the above list.  Watching and hearing his excitement about these things brings me joy.

A family photo......what is Jackson doing?????
