We went to Rothenburg this past weekend with some friends and stayed two nights......I think we wore Jackson and Logan completely out, but it was lots of fun!
The famous "turn around" shot.
We stopped at a fruit stand and got some fresh raspberries - yummy!
A shop famous for their teddy bears. Dad, can I have this one?
Logan, playing with rocks......he's happy with the simple things!
People gathered in the town square to listen to a Nebraska band play (My friend Michelle's neice was in the band).
Logan always holds on to William's ears when riding up there with Dad! As a side note, the windows by the clock open and figurines move around up there on the hour! Jackson growled at it the first time he saw it! hee hee!
Another family photo.....
A view of the town from the city wall.
Another nice view.
What a handsome man!
Another typical view in town with the city wall in the background - we walked a section of the wall.....but it was too far to walk all the way around for the time we had that day.
This is a famous view in Rothenburg......evidently Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was filmed here.
William's German meal one night.
We visited the famous Kathe Wohlfahrt Christmas store.....it was AMAZING, but I wasn't permitted to take pictures inside, so here's the vehicle outside. We bought several souvenires.
A view of Rothenburg's square from the top of the bell tower.
This is a famous carving.....it took 3 years to complete and survived the destruction of wars. If my memory is correct, it was finished in the 1500's.
Another pretty house.
The boys: Chuck, William, Logan, Brian, and Alex.
We ran into my friend Jamie and her family at several different tourist spots in town.....crazy to go 5 hours away and see someone you know in Germany!
My friend Michelle and I.
The group of friends we went to Rothenburg with: Chuck (in the grey sweatshirt) and his wife Tia (in the hat) and their son (in the front), and Brian and his wife Michelle
One of the several churchs in town.
A house covered in greenery!
I loved the glass jugs lining this door!
Beauty everywhere we looked!
